New Delhi, Feb. 17 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Delhi Zonal Office, today said it has filed a chargesheet in the Videocon Mozambique Oil deal case against V.N. Dhoot and 12 other accused before a Special PMLA Court at Rouse Avenue Court.
The court has taken cognisance of the chargesheet.
The ED case is based on a case registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). After conducting a preliminary inquiry, CBI registered an FIR (first information report) in 2020 under Sections 120-B and 420 of the IPC and Section 13(2) read with 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act for offences of criminal conspiracy, cheating and criminal misconduct against V.N. Dhoot, unknown bank officials, and others.
