Pune, Dec. 10 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday conducted raids in Baramati in connection with a large-scale financial fraud in the dairy sector.
ED officials carried out searches at the residences of Anand Satish Lokhande and Vidya Satish Lokhande, residents of Jalochi village in Baramati.
According to preliminary information, the couple allegedly defrauded dairy traders from Pune and Mumbai to the tune of over Rs 10 crore. They are also accused of cheating several government employees in the Mantralaya by promising high returns in the dairy sector.
The action was initiated based on a complaint filed by Baramati Dairy Private Limited, which accused the Lokhande couple of committing a fraud worth Rs 10,21,59,367. The compl...
