Ranchi, Dec. 2 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday launched a major operation in Jharkhand, conducting raids at 15 locations linked to Chartered Accountant Naresh Kejriwal and his family in connection with alleged violations of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

According to official sources, the search operation covered Kejriwal's office at Church Complex in city as well as multiple premises in Mumbai and Surat.

The action stems from allegations of irregular foreign exchange transactions and suspected unlawful overseas investments.

This is the first significant ED raid in Jharkhand under both the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) and the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
