Kolkata, Oct. 16 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED), probing the alleged large- scale sand smuggling and its money trails across West Bengal, today began fresh search operations at multiple locations, including Kolkata and Medinipur, official sources said.
They said ED officials raided the properties, offices and godowns of business people and their workers in at least seven locations in alleged sand smuggling and its money trails in Kolkata's Bentinck Street near Lal Bazar, Lalgarh and Gopiballavpur in Jhargram district.
The raids were also reported at the residence of a businessman in Asansol in West Bardhaman district.
