New Delhi, Dec. 3 -- : In a significant update regarding the cough syrup case linked to the deaths of 20 children in Madhya Pradesh, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Chennai Zonal Office, on Wednesday said it has attached immovable properties worth Rs 2.04 crore belonging to G Ranganathan, proprietor of Sresan Pharmaceutical Manufacturer.
The provisionally attached properties comprise two residential flats in Kodambakkam, Chennai, owned by G. Ranganathan and his family members.
The ED action was initiated based on its investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) over the registration of two First Information Reports (FIRs).
