New Delhi, April 20 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Kolkata Zonal Office, on Monday said that it has arrested land mafia Jay S Kamdar in connection with a money laundering investigation related to Biswajit Podder alias Sona Pappu and others.
An official said that he was produced before a Special PMLA Court, which granted the ED nine days' custody for further investigation.
Further, the ED also conducted searches at six premises in Kolkata and Barrackpore on April 19, 2026, including the residential premises of Santanu Sinha Biswas, Deputy Commissioner of Police, and Jay S. Kamdar, and seized incriminating documents.
