Bhubaneswar, July 1 -- The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has recorded robust performance in freight loading during the first quarter of the current financial year 2025-26, registering significant growth compared to the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
According to ECoR sources, from April to June 2025, the zone loaded a total of 68.19 million tonnes, up from 62.2 million tonnes during the same period last year, marking a commendable 9.69 percent increase.
In June 2025 alone, freight loading reached 23.15 million tonnes, reflecting a 7.72 percent increase over the 21.49 million tonnes loaded in June 2024.
