Chennai, April 11 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Saturday shifted Tamil Nadu Home Secretary Dheeraj Kumar and appointed 1993 batch IAS Office K Manivasan in his place, ahead of the April 23 Assembly elections..
The ECI directed that Dheeraj Kumar should not be posted to any election-related roles until the completion of the assembly elections.
In another order, the ECI cancelled the appointment of senior IPS officer Sandeep Mittal as the DGP, Armed Police and Vigilance and Anti-Corruption and made him as DGP Armed Forces. In view of this, senior Officer Davidson Devasirvatham, who was earlier shunted out by the ECI, is likely return back to the as DVAC, DGP.
