Kolkata, Nov. 16 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) has set an end-November deadline for completing the digitisation of voter details collected through enumeration forms in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in West Bengal.

According to officials in the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), West Bengal, digitisation work-already underway at the booth level-has so far covered nearly 50 lakh forms.

"The pace of data entry will be scaled up from Sunday, and the entire process is expected to be finished by the end of the month, as directed by the Commission," an official at the CEO office in West Bengal told UNI on condition of anonymity.
