Lucknow, Dec. 11 -- On the request by the Chief Electoral Officer( CEO) of Uttar Pradesh Navdeep Rinwa, the Election Commission of India ( ECI) has extended the process of Special Intensive Revision ( SIR) in the state by two weeks.

Rinwa said on Thursday that that the Election Commission of India has extended the previously announced dates for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process underway in the state, based on the qualifying date of January 1, 2026, and has issued revised dates.
