Kolkata, Nov. 22 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) is reviewing complaints filed by West Bengal Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari against three District Magistrates, who also serve as District Election Officers (DEOs), alleging violations of protocol during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Adhikari has named the District Magistrates of East Midnapore his home district as well as Hooghly and East Burdwan. He submitted the complaints to a central ECI team that visited the state this week to review SIR progress.
