New Delhi, Oct. 19 -- The Election Commission of India has appointed a robust team of Central Observers to oversee the upcoming Bihar Legislative Assembly elections alongside eight bye-elections spanning seven states.

This strategic move aims to ensure a level playing field for all political parties and uphold the integrity of the electoral process. Exercising its constitutional powers under Article 324 and statutory authority under Section 20B of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the Commission announced this deployment in a press release on Sunday.
