Shimla, June 3 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to revamp its voter turnout reporting mechanism by integrating a technology-driven approach to reduce delays in disseminating polling data.
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Nandita Gupta on Monday announced that the upgraded system would ensure real-time updates on approximate voter turnout percentage trends through the Voter Turnout (VTR) App.
This initiative, she said, is in line with the Commission's commitment to ensure timely and transparent communication with the public-an objective frequently emphasised by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
