Kakdwip/Kolkata, April 26 -- With just days to go for the second and final phase of the Assembly elections in West Bengal, the Election Commission on Sunday stepped up its preparedness to ensure a free, fair and peaceful poll.
West Bengal Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Agarwal conducted an extensive ground review in Kakdwip, underscoring the Commission's "zero tolerance" approach towards any disruption of the electoral process.
During his visit, Agarwal chaired a high-level meeting at the Kakdwip Sub-Divisional Officer's office, where he interacted with administrative officials, police authorities and representatives of various political parties.
