EC threatening Congress either to file affidavit or apologies on SIR issue: Khera

Patna, Aug. 18 -- Sharpening its attack on the Election Commission (EC) over alleged discrepancies in the voter lists, the Congress today alleged that the EC was threatening the party either to file an affidavit or apologies on the issues raised by it regarding SIR.

Categorically clearing that the Congress was not at all scared of such threats, the AICC Media and Publicity Department Chairman, Pawan Khera, told news persons here that the party would not be intimidated by the EC's warnings.

Khera said that his party was not afraid of threats and if the Election Commissioner believes he can scare the Leader of Opposition, he is mistaken.
