Patna, Nov. 1 -- The Election Commission today ordered the transfer of several senior administrative and police officials in Barh subdivision of Patna district, following the violent incident that took place during a recent election campaigning in the Mokama Assembly constituency.
Official sources said here that the Commission has transferred Barh SDO Chandan Kumar and appointed Ashish Kumar, Additional Municipal Commissioner of the Patna Municipal Corporation, in his place. Similarly, Barh-1 SDPO Rakesh Kumar has been replaced by Anand Kumar Singh, a Deputy Superintendent of Police from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
