Araria, Aug. 24 -- Leader of Opposition in Bihar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejaswi Yadav today launched a sharp attack on the Election Commission, alleging that its actions have put democracy, the Constitution and the fundamental rights of voters in danger.

Speaking at a press conference in Araria, Yadav said, "The Election Commission has turned into a captive body. Its primary task now is to help the BJP in stealing votes."He said that the objective of the Voter Rights Yatra is to reach out to citizens at the grassroots level and make them aware of the reality.

He added that public response so far makes it clear that people no longer have faith in the Commission.
