Puducherry, April 7 -- Election flying squad officials on Tuesday searched the helicopter in which former Tamil Nadu BJP PresidentK Annamalai reached Karaikal region for electioneering for the April 9 Assembly elections in Puducherry.
Mr Annamalai was scheduled to participate in a road show in Karaikal in support of the BJP candidates.
As the deadline for the election campaign to end was 5.00 PM today, he took a helicopter from Puducherry to reach Karaikal.
When he landed at the Varichikudy Polytechnic college grounds,election flying squad officials reached there and searched the helicopter thoroughly.
