Kolkata, Feb. 17 -- : Three micro-observers have been suspended in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district following adverse reports submitted by district-level electoral roll observers appointed by the Election Commission of India.
According to officials, the action was taken on Tuesday evening by the state's Chief Electoral Officer on the basis of findings that the three micro-observers (ERMOs), who were on deputation to the Commission, failed to discharge their duties personally.
