Nanded, Feb. 11 -- A wave of panic swept through the Mukhed taluka of Nanded district on Wednesday afternoon after residents experienced mild tremors accompanied by loud subterranean sounds.

The seismic activity, recorded at 3:25 PM prompted the district administration to step in immediately with safety guidelines while urging citizens to remain alert but calm.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the tremor registered a magnitude of 3.0 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter located near Khapral village in Mukhed taluka. The impact was felt across several villages, including Hibbat, Kolgaon, Dhamangaon, Motorga, Dhanaj, and Jamkhed.
