Guwahati, Oct. 29 -- England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt rued her team's disastrous start to the run chase, admitting that losing three quick wickets up front made the semifinal mountain too steep to climb against a dominant South Africa at Barsapara Stadium here tonight.
"Obviously it's not ideal losing three very quick wickets. That made the chase difficult from the start," Sciver-Brunt said after England's heavy defeat in the ICC Women's World Cup semifinal.
"I think the way that Capsey and I put together a partnership showed that we were up with where the South Africans were in their first innings. But we obviously needed to do it for a lot longer than we did in the end."England's chase never found its footing as Marizanne Kapp produced ...
