New York/New Delhi, Sept. 22 -- External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who is in New York to attend the UN General Assembly, met Philippines Foreign Minister Theresa P. Lazaro, during which they discussed their cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, amid the latest skirmish between Philippines and Chinese vessels in the South China Sea.

EAM Jaishankar, in a post on X, said the two sides followed up on the state visit to India of Philippines President Bongbong Marcos in August, when the two sides elevated their bilateral relations to Strategic Partnership.
