New Delhi, July 28 -- External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar today spoke with newly-appointed South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun, and discussed ways to strengthen India-South Korean relations.

Cho Hyun was appointed as the new Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea on July 18.

EAM Jaishankar said in a post on X: "Good to speak with @FMChoHyun of RoK this morning. "Conveyed my best wishes for a successful tenure. Discussed deepening of our bilateral cooperation."

The South Korean FM said in a post on X that he had his first call with the Indian foreign minister. "I reaffirmed our commitment expressed at the G7 Summit and during the special envoy's visit. We agreed to enhance high-level exchanges and practical cooperation," he post...
