Bengaluru, Aug. 17 -- Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, along with Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh, today visited the site of a devastating fire that broke out yesterday in a building in the Nagarathpete area of Bengaluru, resulting in five deaths.
Police Commissioner Seemant Singh said that two people-the owners of the flats-have been arrested in connection with the incident.
"We are further investigating whether others were involved, and legal action will be taken against them if found guilty," he added. He also noted that measures suggested by the Deputy CM and BBMP Chief Commissioner will be implemented by the municipal authorities.
