Nagpur, Dec. 13 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Saturday stated that officials responsible for registering property documents should have rejected agreements that were not legally valid and clearly informed the parties involved about such restrictions.
"The officials handling document registration should have refused such agreements. They should have made it clear to the parties that these transactions could not be processed," Pawar told reporters in Nagpur.
He emphasised that the officials who went ahead with these registrations were at fault and should have exercised proper diligence before processing the documents.
