Hyderabad, Oct. 2 -- Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, symbolising the victory of good over evil, was celebrated across Telangana on Thursday with religious fervour and enthusiasm.

Large numbers of devotees, including women and children, thronged Goddess Durga temples and offered special poojas to mark the occasion, which also signifies the end of Navaratri and the triumph of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura.

Several prominent leaders, including Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, participated in the Ayudha Puja programme at his residence in Jubilee Hills.
