Monaco, Dec. 1 -- Reigning champions Mondo Duplantis and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone were crowned the World Athletics Awards 2025, capping off a dominant season for the Swedish pole vault and the American sprint sensation.

Kenya's Emmanuel Wanyonyi claimed the men's track while Australia's Nicola Olyslagers secured the women's field award. Spain's Maria Perez and Kenya's Sebastian Sawe were recognised as the out-of-stadium athletes of the year, according to a press release issued by World Athletics.

Rising Star honours went to Kenya's Edmund Serem and China's Zhang Jiale.
