Bengaluru, Aug. 29 -- Jammu & Kashmir pacer Auqib Nabi Dar produced a sensational spell of fast bowling, including four wickets in four balls, as North Zone seized complete control against East Zone in the Duleep Trophy quarterfinal at the BCCI CEG Ground here today.
At stumps on the second day, East Zone were bundled out for 230 in 56.1 overs, conceding a 175-run lead after North Zone had earlier posted 405 in their first innings.
Resuming at 308 for six, North Zone were powered by half-centuries from Kanhaiya Wadhawan (76) and Ayush Badoni (63), before Nabi (44 off 33 balls) added quick lower-order runs. Left-arm spinner Manishi, however, stood out for East Zone with career-best figures of 6 for 111, all six dismissals coming via lbw.
