Shimla, Dec. 20 -- Taking cognizance of the Himachal Pradesh High Court's recent order regarding the death of a tourist on the Xio line in Kullu district, the Department of Tourism has stopped several illicit tourism adventure activities in the state.
District Tourism Development Officer (DTDO) Shimla, Jagdish Sharma, conducted a surprise inspection of various adventure activities and zip lines operating illegally in Jhamunda and Siddhpur in Narkanda and ordered their closure.
He stated that the Tourism Department is committed to ensuring the safety of tourists, and this action was taken as part of that commitment.
