New Delhi, Jan. 8 -- The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) and Shiromani Akali Dal on Thursday filed criminal complaints against Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi, accusing her of making derogatory remarks against Sikh Gurus and hurting the sentiments of the Sikh community.
The DSGMC, in a complaint addressed to the Police Commissioner and officials of Parliament Street Police Station, sought registration of an FIR against Atishi for what it described as a deliberate and intentional act that allegedly insulted Sikh religious sentiments.
The DSGMC said it is a statutory body established under the Delhi Sikh Gurdwaras Act, 1971, and is responsible for managing historic gurdwaras and institutions linked to the Sikh community. It s...
