Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 5 -- The Kerala State Drugs Control Department has banned the distribution and sale of several batches of medicines found to be of substandard quality during quality checks conducted at its laboratories in the second quarter of July.
The State Drugs Controller has directed all traders and hospitals that may have these medicines in stock to return them to the respective distributors and inform the concerned District Drugs Control Authorities.
A batch of Gentamicin Injection IP, manufactured by Nandani Medical Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., located at Bicholi Hapsi, Kanadia Road, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, with batch number GMV22318 and expiry date 08/2025, has been found to be substandard and is banned from sale.
