Aizawl, May 5 -- Mizoram Police has seized 236.33 kilograms of methamphetamine - equivalent to more than two crore tablets and valued at over Rs 30 crore - in Champhai district near the Myanmar border, in what officials described as the state's biggest-ever single meth haul.
The seizure was made at Vanzau village under the jurisdiction of Dungtlang Police Station following a late Sunday night road interception.
Acting on specific intelligence, police stopped a vehicle travelling from Thinghrangkawn to Bungzung, both border villages in Champhai district. Upon inspection, they found the contraband concealed inside the vehicle.
