Chandigarh, May 8 -- The Counter Intelligence (CI) unit of Amritsar police busted an international drug smuggling module operated by a foreign-based smuggler and arrested two of his India-based operatives, both residents of Amritsar, said DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav here on Thursday. He said the police recovered 10 kg heroin worth Rs 70 crore in the international market and Rs 1 lakh drug money from them. DGP Yadav said that the accused Jassa is wanted in multiple NDPS and Arms Act cases. An FIR is registered at the Amritsar police station. Further investigation is underway.
