Mumbai, April 15 -- The illegal drug menace that is destroying Maharashtra's youth is getting political patronage, alleged Congress State President Harshvardhan Sapkal here today. He accused the Mahayuti government of committing the sin of turning Maharashtra into a "sinking state," similar to "Udta Punjab".

He said the drug menace is no longer limited to big cities like Mumbai and Pune but has spread down to the taluka (sub-district) level. This poison is reaching the state through a drug corridor extending from Gujarat's Kandla port to Maharashtra.

"The people will never forgive this government for ruining the youth of Maharashtra," warned Sapkal.
