Itanagar, July 10 -- In an anti-narcotics operation, the Tirap district police have seized over 5 kg of suspected opium near Kheti village, dealing a blow to drug trafficking in the region.

Acting on intelligence inputs about the transportation of narcotics, the operation was launched around 6:55 pm on Tuesday. The operation was led by inspector N Rango and supported by the Tirap Anti-Drug Squad (ADS) under inspector K Techi, along with personnel from Khonsa police station, including SI Sono Dodum, ASI J Longren, and a ready party.
