Nahan, Aug. 19 -- In a shocking incident, a 32-year-old man allegedly strangled his mother to death after a verbal altercation late Saturday night in Chadech village under gram panchayat Sarahan of Pachhad subdivision in Sirmaur district, Nahan, Himachal Pradesh.
The deceased has been identified as 51-year-old Jayamanti Devi, wife of Lachhi Kumar. Local residents and family members grew suspicious when her son Pushp Kumar, who is reportedly addicted to drugs, reached the Pachhad police station yesterday and filed a complaint about his mother's "sudden disappearance".
