Drinking water quality to be regularly examined in every panchayat

Patna, May 26 -- Bihar Public Health Engineering Minister Neeraj Kumar Singh said that under the 'Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal' scheme, now the quality of drinking water being supplied in every panchayat will be regularly examined at the panchayat level.

Singh said here on Monday that the Department was providing Multi Parameter Field Test Kit (FTK) to every Panchayat for on-the-spot testing the key parameters of the water like pH, turbidity, TDS, residual chlorine, and nitrate. Apart from this, separate essential chemicals were also being provided in the kit for arsenic, fluoride, and iron-related tests in the affected areas.
