Wardha, Dec. 10 -- The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has uncovered a mephedrone production unit in Maharashtra's Wardha district and seized 128 kg of the prohibited drug, worth around Rs 192 crore, police said today.

Police reported that three individuals, including the suspected kingpin, who also financed the operation and handled the chemical processes, were taken into custody during the two-day raid carried out on Sunday and Monday.

Acting on precise intelligence inputs, the DRI launched "Operation Hinterland Brew" in a secluded area of Karanja (Ghadge), located about 60 km from Wardha.
