Hyderabad/Bhubaneswar, Dec. 31 -- Officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 3.93 kg of hydroponic weed valued at approximately Rs 3.93 crore at Biju Patnaik International Airport.

Acting on specific intelligence, DRI officers intercepted an Indian passenger who had arrived from Bangkok. A systematic examination of the passenger's baggage led to the recovery of four packets containing a greenish, lumpy substance, a DRI statement said on Wednesday.

Of the four packets, two were wrapped in black polythene and cleverly concealed inside cardboard chocolate packages to evade detection during X-ray scanning. The remaining two packets were hidden in a false bottom of the carry-on luggage.
