Hyderabad, Sept. 20 -- Officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 12 kg of hydroponic weed valued at around Rs 12 crore from an air passenger at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad, today.
Based on specific intelligence, officers of the DRI Hyderabad Zonal Unit intercepted an Indian passenger who had arrived from Dubai. A systematic search of her baggage led to the recovery of packets containing a greenish, lumpy substance, which tested positive for cannabis. Six kilograms of hydroponic weed were seized from this baggage, a DRI statement said.
