London, Oct. 24 -- Sean Dyche made a winning start as Nottingham Forest manager, as his side beat Porto 2-0 in the Europa League on Thursday with penalties from Morgan Gibbs-White and Igor Jesus.
The victory was Forest's first since its Premier League opener in August and its first clean sheet since April. It capped a dream debut for Dyche, who was appointed on Tuesday.
It has been a turbulent season for Forest. Ange Postecoglou was sacked on Saturday, just 39 days after replacing Nuno Espirito Santo. Dyche quickly brought stability and structure to a side in need of direction.
