Pilibhit, Dec. 22 -- A District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) employee, Harjinder Singh, and his wife Renu were found dead in the bathroom of their rented house on Sunday night. Preliminary investigations suggest that the use of a gas geyser may have caused oxygen depletion in the enclosed bathroom, leading to suffocation, police said on Monday.
Police said they broke and open the bathroom door around 11 pm after being alerted by neighbors. The couple lived in a rented house in Gurukulpuram locality. Harjinder Singh was a Class IV employee with the DRDA. He had married Renu Saxena six years ago in a love marriage. Renu had recently suffered a fracture in her arm following a motorcycle accident.
