Nahan, Oct. 5 -- A Drawing Master of a Himachal Pradesh government school has been placed under suspension after a cheque issued by him went viral for multiple spelling errors, triggering public criticism on social media and national media outlets.

Offiicial sources said Atter Singh, Drawing Master of Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS), Ronhat, under Sirmaur district, issued a cheque dated September 25, 2025, under the PM POSHAN (Mid-Day Meal) scheme of Rs. 7,616 to himself.
