Hamirpur, Oct. 12 -- Even in Himachal Pradesh, areas with low altitude and low humidity, such as Hamirpur district, have the potential for fruit production.
The state government, through the Horticulture Department, has made commendable efforts to promote the cultivation of mango, guava, and citrus fruits here and has launched ambitious schemes like the HP Shiva Project.
The Horticulture Department is now exploring the possibility of cultivating other fruits in a different way, and during this time, the department has identified some progressive farmers in the district who have the passion to innovate in this field.
