Patna, March 20 -- Once known primarily for traditional farming, Bihar is now witnessing a rapid transformation in its agricultural landscape.

Source at the agriculture department said here on Friday that scientists and researchers in the state are experimenting with innovative crops and techniques that are not only reshaping agriculture but also enhancing farmers' incomes.

Dragon fruit and rubber cultivation, earlier considered limited to southern and northeastern parts of India, are now emerging as viable options in Bihar.
