New Delhi, Dec. 16 -- The draft electoral rolls for West Bengal, Rajasthan, Goa, Puducherry, and Lakshadweep are set to be officially published on Tuesday, December 16, a senior official from the Election Commission (EC) announced on Monday.
The publication marks a critical step in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, an exercise undertaken by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to ensure that voter lists are accurate, up-to-date, and inclusive ahead of upcoming elections.
The poll body has put in place a mechanism to ensure wide access to the draft rolls for both the public and political stakeholders.
