Bhopal, June 23 -- Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, BJP state president Vishnudutt Sharma, and other party officials paid floral tributes to Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, on his martyrdom day at the BJP state headquarters here on Monday.
Yadav said Dr Mukherjee was a great hero who understood the complexities of pre- and post-independence India. He opposed the British plan to divide Bengal and later fought against Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, ultimately sacrificing his life for the cause.
