New Delhi, Feb. 4 -- Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has carried out an extensive inspection drive against non-compliant diesel generator (DG) sets across the National Capital, in line with directions issued by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM).

The drive was conducted between January 29 and February 3 during which around 300 industrial and commercial establishments operating DG sets were inspected across the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi.

Based on violations of CAQM norms, action was taken against 108 units, which were issued 'Sealing Memos' or Show Cause Notices (SCNs) for operating non-compliant gensets.
