Kolkata, Aug. 5 -- DP World, one of India's largest private rail freight operators, has launched two new domestic rail services to connect Gujarat's manufacturing hubs with Kolkata in West Bengal.

The new services, which link Bhimasar and Hazira to Kolkata, are designed to speed up cargo movement and support India's "Make in India" initiative.

The Bhimasar-Kolkata service will run twice a month with a transit time of 8 days, while the Hazira-Kolkata service will also run twice a month with a 7-day transit time. Both services have a capacity of 90 TEUs per trip and will primarily transport goods such as edible oils, chemicals, steel, and food grains.
