Itanagar, Jan. 1 -- Donyi Polo Day was celebrated across Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday with traditional gaiety, religious fervour, and deep reverence for indigenous faith and culture.

People from various districts participated in prayers, rituals, and cultural programmes, reaffirming their commitment to the age-old belief system rooted in nature and ancestral wisdom.

The Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) said in a statement that the first Donyi Polo Day, following its declaration as a local holiday by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, was observed today across the State with religious fervour and spiritual solemnity.
